Combined or staged?
Your surgeon and anesthesiologist decide how much can safely be done in one session based on your health, BMI and expected operating time. Some plans are staged into two trips; your quote explains which.
How long is recovery?
Plan for 2–3 weeks before desk work and 6–8 weeks before exercise. The first week is spent in private accommodation with a nurse; help at home for the first days after you return is strongly recommended.
When is the right time?
Most surgeons recommend waiting until you have finished having children, are at least 6–12 months post-breastfeeding, and at a stable weight.
