What is a BBL?
A BBL is two procedures in one: liposuction (usually Lipo 360 of the torso) and fat grafting to the buttocks and hips. Because it uses your own tissue, the result moves and feels natural. A portion of transferred fat is always reabsorbed; your surgeon plans for that.
Who may be a candidate?
Good candidates are non-smokers in stable health with enough donor fat to transfer. BMI, medical history, previous surgeries and medications all matter. A 'skinny BBL' may be discussed for slimmer clients, and some clients are advised to gain or lose weight first. Candidacy is decided by the surgeon after photo review and in-person evaluation — never by a sales team.
How the surgical evaluation works
1. Free intake — your goals, health history and timeline. 2. Encrypted photo submission reviewed privately by the surgeon. 3. A personalized plan and all-inclusive quote within 24 hours. 4. On Day 2 in Colombia: labs, EKG, surgeon consultation and anesthesiologist review before anything is scheduled.
Why individualized planning matters
Two clients asking for 'a BBL' rarely need the same operation. Waist definition, hip dips, existing volume and skin quality all change where fat is removed and where it is placed. Your quote lists exactly which areas are included so there are no surprises.
Surgery day and the first 72 hours
Surgery is performed under anesthesia in an accredited clinic. You return to your private recovery accommodation with a nurse caregiver. Expect swelling, bruising and fluid drainage — this is normal. Days 1–3 are typically described as sore and tight rather than sharply painful; medications are included.
Recovery timeline
Week 1: walking gently, your 5 lymphatic massages begin, Stage 1 faja worn continuously. Weeks 2–4: swelling begins to settle; most desk jobs resume around week 2. Weeks 6–8: light exercise cleared by your surgeon. Day 90+: shape has settled and remaining fat is considered stable.
Sitting and sleeping after a BBL
For roughly 2–4 weeks you avoid direct pressure on the buttocks: sleep on your stomach or side, and use the BBL pillow from your supply bag under your thighs when you must sit. Your nurse coaches you on this from the first night.
Compression and fajas
You go home in a Stage 1 faja and move to Stage 2 as swelling reduces. All fajas in your package are made to your measurements, and because you are having a BBL, a BBL pillow is included in the supply bag we hand you.
Flying home
After your Day 7 post-op appointment you fly home on the return flight included in your package. We request aisle seating, and you travel with compression socks, your faja, your BBL pillow and a written recovery plan. Your team checks in at Day 7, 14, 30 and 90.
What is included
The doctor and your surgery procedure, flights, anesthesia, medical evaluation, labs and EKG, medical insurance, private accommodation, nurse caregiver, 5 lymphatic massages, medications, fajas (and a BBL pillow), meals, transportation and 24/7 bilingual concierge.
